About Snap-8 Snap-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide analogue of the N-terminal fragment of SNAP-25, a protein involved in SNARE complex formation at neuromuscular junctions. It has a molecular formula of C41H70N14O16S and a molecular weight of 1076.15 g/mol. Snap-8 is used in vitro to investigate SNARE complex assembly and acetylcholine vesicle release at the neuromuscular junction.
